Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain. The Village of Campton Hills does not have a property tax, and we would like to keep it that way. The sales tax is appropriate and consistent with the communities around us. I would like to find a way to increase sales revenue through promotion of local business, so it may be reinvested for the betterment of the Village.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns? Our police department does a proficient job serving the community, and they have a great team. The fire protection district is separate from the Village and is sufficient for the area. Campton Hills boasts a high safety record, as one of the safest cities in the country (ranked 17th in a 2015 SafeWise report of the 100 safest cities in America).Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?Candidate did not respond. What is one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?Further development of the town center by seeking corporate occupants that fit with our community ideals for future growth.St. Charles School District 303 should look into turning the Glenwood School for Boys property into a middle school for the residents west of Randall. The facility is already well set up for this purpose. What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office? The Village of Campton Hills Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances need to be completed. Originally, Campton Hills adopted the ordinances of Kane County, which no longer suffice. This project has long been anticipated and is making headway now that it has funding from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP). Currently in a rough draft phase, the Village has been working with Camiros - "a full-service planning, zoning, and urban design consultancy with clients throughout the country" - to meet the current and future needs of the community. Due to be completed towards the end of this year, the next phase will include input from the public and full transparency throughout the process. Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Candidate did not respond. What is the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Candidate did not respond. If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?Candidate did not respond. What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Candidate did not respond. If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Candidate did not respond.
