I have gained so much experience during my term as a Village Trustee. My Bachelor's Degree in Marketing makes it easy to promote Antioch. My Real Estate experience has and will continue to help with development. My wealth of governmental knowledge will provide insight to staff, together leading Antioch into the future.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.Since, I been a Village Trustee there has been only one new tax. That was passed through a referendum voted in by the citizens. Prior to me becoming a Trustee, there was a water increase and a utility tax. I will not support any new taxes.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?Through two successful Referendums, The Fire Department is the strongest it ever been financially and in personnel. The police Department, led by a highly qualified chief, has made Antioch one of Lake County's most successful departments. The tax payers should feel good knowing we are in a good position for the next decade and beyond. Public Safety is and always will be of strong importance to me.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?Every dollar of tax payers money needs to be spent wisely. I will continue to be conservative on our spending, yet aggressive on those opportunities that will make Antioch grow and gain strength through development.What is one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?I will work with landlords of commercial buildings, to help them create and offer incentive plans to prospective tenants.
