Attend Green Living Fair in Libertyville March 18

The 2017 Green Living Fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at the Libertyville Civic Center, 135 W. Church St., Libertyville.

Admission is free. The event is sponsored by the Libertyville Civic Center Foundation, Lake County Green Congregations and Faith in Place.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about earth-healthy daily routines from the 40-plus exhibitors featuring local environmental groups, businesses and youth clubs.

There will also be continuous 30-minute speaker forums addressing environmental challenges currently facing the world. No goods or services will be sold directly at the fair.

Topics covered will include sustainable living, green shopping, gardening, organic farming, recycling and reducing waste, composting and green cleaning.

Items will also be accepted for recycling. Accepted items include bikes, bike parts, Styrofoam blocks, CDs, DVDs, eyeglasses, Christmas lights, ink jet cartridges, hearing aids, cellphones, gym shoes wine corks, and (rechargeable and small sealed lead-acid) batteries.
