Coroner: Fire caused Lake Forest man's death

A man found dead Sunday in a burning Lake Forest garage died as a result of the fire, Lake County Coroner Howard Cooper announced Tuesday.

John Marshall, age 39, of Lake Forest, was found dead about 11:30 a.m. Sunday by police and firefighters responding to the fire in an attached garage on the southeast side of the city.

An autopsy performed Tuesday morning determined that his death is attributed to the fire, according to a statement from Cooper. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
