Coroner releases names in West Lafayette triple fatality
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - The Tippecanoe County coroner has released the names of the three people who died in a weekend crash in West Lafayette.
County Coroner Donna Avolt said Monday he crash killed 27-year-old Brian Alan Story and Kaila Richelle Smith and Miranda Knots, both 21. All were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday near the Purdue University campus
Police says that when they arrived on the scene, the car the three were riding was overturned and on fire.
The crash remains under investigation.
