Kosovo more important to Roskam?
The 115th Congress was in a week-long recess Feb. 18-26 so that the members of Congress can go home to their districts and hear from their constituents.
Sixth District Congressman Peter Roskam felt it is more important to be in Kosovo than to be at his district offices in West Chicago and Barrington. Why in Kosovo? The following are Peter Roskam's own words from a Feb 17 press release issued by him.
"Authoritarianism is on the rise around the world. Russia, in particular, is attempting to undermine democratic institutions and subvert democracy."
I'd like Congressman Roskam to take off his GOP party blinders and look at our own country. We now have an authoritarian president and our democracy is in peril. I guess he hasn't heard of, or doesn't care that, Russia interfered in our own election process. Unbelievable.
I hope that Congressman Roskam will support any investigations into the Russian interference. It would also be nice if he would do his job and listen to and represent all of his constituents in the 6th District. Having a tightly controlled faux town hall by phone won't cut it. Meeting face to face with Republicans only won't cut it either.
