Bugielski named COO at Republic Bank

Tom Bugielski has been appointed President/Chief Operating Officer of Republic Bank of Chicago, headquartered in Oak Brook.

Bugielski first joined Republic Bank as senior executive vice president in July 2015, after a history of leadership at other regional banks.

"Tom's collegial management style, coupled with his ability to build successful sales and service driven cultures, had an immediate impact on our organization. As the Chicago banking landscape continues to evolve, we will look to Tom's leadership to grow the bank and provide added value to our business and consumer relationships," said William Sperling, Republic Bank Vice Chairman/CEO.

Republic Bank, a commercial real estate lender, also plans to build a strong reputation within underserved business markets, and to be a catalyst for economic growth within all of the communities they serve.

"As our national economy continues to grow, so do the plans of businesses and residents within our communities. They need a banking relationship that is rooted in the community and uniquely positioned to provide financial solutions that enable them to meet and exceed their goals. They need big bank products with small bank service. We're that bank," said Bugielski.
