Palatine culinary kitchen to double as barbecue restaurant

Chicago Culinary Kitchen in Palatine opened three months ago and has been offering barbecue-related cooking classes, but starting this weekend they will begin serving food as a restaurant.

Chicago Culinary Kitchen is owned and operated by pitmaster Greg Gaardbo and certified craft beer expert Kristina Gaardbo. The husband-and-wife team have modeled their restaurant after various Texas-style barbecue restaurants they enjoyed in Texas and Toronto. They have traveled the world in search of the best flavors and ingredients, according to a news release.

The restaurant will be open on the weekends starting at 11 a.m. and they will close when they've sold all of their food. Chicago Culinary Kitchen is at 773 N. Quentin Road. For more information, visit chicagoculinarykitchen.com.
