Why the need for school additions?

I just read the article on the Windsor School expansion which follows the recent expansions of the Ivy Hill and Thomas schools in Arlington Heights.

It would be great if your paper could shed some light on what is driving the need for these expansions and the tens of millions of dollars (and never ending real estate tax increases) that these projects entail.

I've lived in Arlington Heights for almost 30 years and there doesn't appear to be too much available land (besides replacement teardowns) to build new homes on so I'm somewhat baffled by what's generating the increased school attendance projections.
