Cook County Clerk Orr to lead discussion on TIF districts

Cook County Clerk David Orr will host a Tax Increment Financing Forum Thursday addressing the current state and future of TIFs, with a focus on TIF transparency.

The forum will be from 8:45 a.m. to noon at 69 W. Washington, Chicago, in the 17th floor conference room.

Joining Orr in the panel discussions are David Merriman of the University of Illinois at Chicago, Aarti Kotak of the city of Chicago, Alexandra Gilewicz of the Better Government Association, Chicago Alderman Rick Munoz, MarySue Barrett of the Metropolitan Planning Council, Jackson Potter of the Chicago Teachers Union and Chicago Alderman Scott Waguespack.
