Naper Settlement offers School's Out Day Camps

This spring, children will be able to enjoy their days off from school learning about science, engineering and food chemistry in Naper Settlement's School's Out Day Camps for grades one through five.

The fee is $45 per camper per day for the camps at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St., Naperville. Registration is required by calling (630) 420-6010.

• Imaginarium will meet 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, March 3. It's time for children to think outside the box and have their imaginations run wild as they become art-scientists and junior engineers at Imaginarium. Campers will inspect the elements of creating structures as they build and test toothpick towers, make their own sundial as they discover what the universe has to do with telling time, and mix and measure different ingredients to create dessert bars.

• Snack Science will meet 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, March 27. Campers will become kitchen chemists as they use household objects and ingredients to conduct edible experiments. The children will do a variety of activities, including making marshmallow monsters, building gummy bear molecules and constructing a lemon-powered battery.
