Cubs postcard: Batters up
MESA, Ariz. - It was over to the main stadium at Sloan Park for the Cubs' regular players Thursday.
On a cool, crisp and clear morning, Cubs hitters trekked across the complex to take batting practice and some light fielding work at Sloan Park, which is expected to be filled to capacity for Saturday's Cactus League opener against the Oakland Athletics. Several baseballs found their way onto the grass berm beyond the outfield walls as hitters took their hacks.
