Hanover Park hosts Black History Celebration Feb. 18
Noted civil rights leader and former NAACP president Benjamin F. Chavis Jr. will be the keynote speaker at the village of Hanover Park's third annual Black History Celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Poplar Creek Library, 1405 S. Park Ave. in Streamwood.
"Hip-Hop as a Vehicle for Inspiring Social Responsibility" will be the topic of the event organized by the village and its Sister Cities Committee.
The event is free but space is limited.
