Palatine falls to powerful Stevenson

In the only girls basketball game on Saturday involving a Mid-Suburban League team, Palatine dropped a 50-34 decision at Stevenson as the Patriots celebrated their Senior Night.

Senior Ashley Richardson led the host (21-5) with a game-high 17 points while the Pirates (12-13) were paced by sophomore guard Elena Porrata's 10 points.

It was the third time in the Pirates' last four games that Porrata reached double figures, including a pair of 21-point efforts against Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg.

She was followed by teammates Tiana Henderson (8 points), Reggie Much (5) and Sydney Rzepka (5).
