Oblivious to vulgarity in Washington speeches
Paula Nowicki wrote in the Saturday letters that she didn't understand the reason for Dathan Paterno's (former board member of the Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 board) personal tweet regarding the Women's March. As she saw it, there were no "very angry, hostile, vulgar or violent" women in Chicago's or any other march. "None" as she put it.
Really? So Madonna's F-bomb-laced speech, her juvenile reference to President Trump with a vulgarity and her desire to blow up the White House were not vulgar, hostile, or angry? How about Ashley Judd's crazed rant about blood stains on sheets and her use of the P-word when referencing a woman's genitalia? Not vulgar enough for Paula's standards?
I can't imagine having a daughter in the audience listening to this garbage. Good role models these moms are.
Yes, Dathan Paterno's tweet used a poor choice of words to express his disgust with some of the these moms and in doing so, he sank to their level. However, many people were not oblivious to what was said in Washington and were offended by this angry, vulgar rhetoric.
