Glenbard North presents 'Blithe Spirit'

Glenbard North Theatre's winter production, "Blithe Spirit," is playwright Noel Coward's smash comedy classic of London and Broadway stages.

The show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 16 to 18, in the Little Theatre at Glenbard North High School, 990 N. Kuhn Road, Carol Stream.

The play offers up fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine, who is researching material for a new novel. After a seance with local eccentric medium Madame Arcati goes decidedly wrong, Charles finds himself face to face with the ghost of his deceased wife, Elvira - much to the chagrin of his current spouse, Ruth. Love and marriage devolve into laughter and mayhem when Ruth is accidentally killed and united with Elvira on the "other side." Together the paranormal pair of "blithe spirits" haunt their hapless husband into perpetuity with hilarious consequences.

The cast includes Anthony DiPaolo as Charles, Kelsey Sheridan as Elvira, Bianca Aguilar as Ruth, Samantha O'Connell as Edith, Kyle Krisch as Dr. Bradman, Kelsey Van Poucke as Mrs. Bradman, and Kristina Talia as Madame Arcati.

David Barone is the director, Nathan King the technical director, Arielle Valene is associate technical director, and Robyn Scurek is associate drama director.

Tickets are $8 and may be reserved by calling (630) 681-3399. Tickets also will be available at the door.
