Mundelein's Parola earns coaching honor

The Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association named Mundelein's Todd Parola the Class 4A area baseball coach of the year at last Friday's IHSBCA luncheon.

"This is quite an honor for Todd, the Mundelein baseball program and Mundelein High School," said MHS athletic director Troy Parola, who's Todd's cousin. "We are proud of Todd and want to congratulate him on his receiving this honor. Way to go, Coach Parola."

Mundelein advanced to the state championship game for the first time in its history last spring. The Mustangs, who finished the season with a 31-10 record, lost to Providence Catholic 10-3.
