Sleeping giant awakened

Admiral Yamamoto was the commander of the Japanese naval fleet and was ordered to plan the attack on Pear Harbor on December 7, 1941. He had lived in Washington D.C. as part of the Japanese delegation so he was familiar with the United States. He warned the Japanese military that such an attack was dangerous and that the attack would awaken a Sleeping Giant. It did! The USA quickly responded with a massive war machine. The rest is history.
