Team trivia event celebrates American pop culture

"Pop Back in Time" Team Trivia will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12. Due to the event's increased popularity, it is moving to a larger venue so more teams can participate in this friendly competition. It will be at Arlington Lakes Golf Club, 1211 S. Wilke Road.

"Pop Back in Time" Team Trivia is the fourth annual trivia event jointly sponsored by the Arlington Heights Historical Society and Arlington Heights Crime Stoppers.

"The trivia event features questions in a wide range of categories, ensuring that the useless knowledge stored in everyone's brain will finally be put to good use," said event organizer John Amling.

He explains, "As a tribute to the Historical Society's 60th anniversary this year, questions will include trivia from the last 60 years of American pop culture."

Team registration is $100 for a team of no more than six. The evening includes the trivia competition, a trivia raffle, "answers for sale" booth, food and cash bar. In addition, for a small donation, the Arlington Heights Police Department will be on hand to put the competition in "jail" during one round.

The Arlington Heights Historical Society and Arlington Heights Crime Stoppers are both 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Proceeds will benefit both organizations equally.
