A Soldier's Journey Home!!!!!

Starting on January 27th, 2017 and ending on January 29th, 2017 Saint Alphonsus Liguori School will be hosting a 6th Grade Boys Basketball tournament called "A Soldiers Journey Home". The purpose of the tournament is to raise money for SPC Tony Chobanov. Tony completed two tours of duty while he served in Afghanistan and Iraq. He was a forward observer for the Army from 2004 until his retirement in 2009. His duties also included communicating battlefield intelligence to central command. Since Tony's retirement his return stateside has been difficult. Tony currently is suffering from a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Tony is currently living in Naperville, IL with his wife Abbey and their three children. All proceeds from the tournament will help to build a new home for Tony and his family. Please join us.
