'Truth' as an abstraction

Bravo re: the editorial in Sunday's Herald's edition defending CNN's coverage of Trump's alleged Russia/Putin connection. I saw some of the Anderson Cooper interview of Kellyanne Conway. Like her boss, Ms. Conway simply spouts off whatever she thinks is appropriate for the moment. "Truth" is only a bothersome abstraction. To Anderson's credit, he simply didn't sit idly by and let Kellyanne ramble on without challenge. Given Trump's tweeting propensity and self-styled version of truth, the public is likely to be exposed to more of the same.
