Aurora CC nips Ridgewood

Brett Czerak made 4 free throws with .8 seconds left to play Friday night to lift the Aurora Central Catholic boys basketball team to a 53-51 Metro Suburban Blue win over Ridgewood.

Czerak, who scored 22 points in the win, was fouled with .8 seconds to go and an ensuing technical foul on a Ridgewood player resulted in the 4 free throw attempts.

Mac Cowen added 12 points for the Chargers (12-3, 6-1) and Kyle Czerak had 11.

CL South 66, CL Central 53: Matt Myers had 18 points and Kyle Leva added 17 to lead Crystal Lake South (6-10, 2-3) to a Fox Valley Conference win.

De La Salle 58, Marmion 57: San Doroff had 22 points and Mick Sullivan added 13 for Marmion (3-13, 0-5) in its Chicago Catholic League loss.
