Gurnee traffic crackdown results in 3 arrests, 19 tickets
Gurnee police have announced results from a holiday traffic enforcement crackdown. From Dec. 16 through Jan. 2, police conducted enhanced safety restraint and impaired driving enforcement activities throughout the village. They recorded 16 seat belt violations and made three arrests for drivers on the road with suspended or revoked licenses. Three drivers were ticketed for not having insurance. The effort was funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
