Foot and Ankle Specialty Now Part of Advocate Medical Group Orthopedic Care

The new year brings new changes in orthopedic care in Lake County with the addition of Gregory Caronis, M.D. to Advocate Medical Group's orthopedic team. Dr. Caronis will continue to perform surgery at Advocate Condell Medical Center and see patients at both the new AMG building on the Libertyville hospital campus as well as at the AMG building in Lincolnshire.

Well-known in Lake County for nearly 20 years, Dr. Caronis is board-certified in disorders of the foot and ankle. His expertise is in foot reconstruction as well as the management of common foot and ankle problems in both adults and children. Dr. Caronis is one of the leading surgeons to perform total ankle replacement at Advocate Condell Medical Center.

Fracture and trauma care are another major part of Dr. Caronis' practice. He treats many of these injuries with casts and bracing, rather than surgery, but he is highly trained in the most current surgical methods and is an active and valued member of the Advocate Condell Medical Center Level 1 trauma team.

One of the areas of emphasis in Dr. Caronis' practice is on communication with patients. He believes in treating patients with the same level of care and skill that he would expect for his own family and achieves great satisfaction from seeing patients returned to health and full function.

Dr. Caronis is currently accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment or for orthopedic concerns, contact Advocate Medical Group Orthopedics at (847) 634-1766 or email drgregcaronis@gmail.com.
