Palatine puts away Marian Central

Palatine's girls basketball team evened its record at 8-8 on Saturday night with a 53-28 nonconference victory over visiting Marian Central Catholic.

The Pirates received a game-high 18 points from Elena Porrata, a sophomore guard made five 3-pointers. Junior forward Jenny Myslinski added 9 points for coach Mark Johnson's squad and Reggie Much chipped in 8.

Vanessa Garrelts paced Marian Central with 8 points.
