Dense fog advisory in effect until 11 a.m.

A dense fog advisory is in effect for the area until 11 a.m., the National Weather Service is reporting.

A dense fog advisory means visibility is reduced to less than a quarter mile and traveling is potentially hazardous, officials said.

Officials are urging people to slow down, use headlights when driving and to leave plenty of distance between vehicles.
