ECU wide receiver Williams receives medical hardship waiver
GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) - East Carolina receiver Jimmy Williams has received a medical hardship waiver that will allow him to play next year.
The school announced Tuesday that the American Athletic Conference granted his request for another season of eligibility.
Williams played in only two games as a freshman in 2013 before a foot injury ended his season. As a senior in 2016, Williams ranked third on the team with 45 catches and second with 818 yards receiving.
