Schools will miss retiring village leader

On behalf of the Board of Education, entire administrative team and staff, we send our best wishes to retiring Village Manager Kevin Bowens as he begins his retirement after 25 years of dedicated service to the Village of Libertyville.

Kevin has been a tremendous advocate of Libertyville School District 70. His commitment to supporting the needs that address opportunities for students, staff and community has been valued, admired and appreciated throughout his years of service.

Kevin's knowledge of governmental relations, public administration and community development has been a gift to District 70 and the village at large. With a keen eye on budget, knowledge of public policy and a talent for public speaking, Kevin has led his department with a genuine sense of diplomacy.

It has been an honor to work collaboratively with such a distinguished leader for the betterment of our learning community. We thank Kevin for his dedicated service. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered as a friend of Libertyville School District 70.
