Heat coach says Wade in Bulls uniform will never look right

Dwyane Wade already made his return to Miami on Dec. 10, so there weren't any mushy moments when the Heat visited the United Center on Saturday.

Before the game, Miami coach Erik Spoelstra was asked if he'd gotten used to Wade playing for a new team.

"That's not ever going to look right, him in a Bulls uniform," Spoelstra said, before talking about what Wade brings to a team. "He's a Hall of Famer on the court, but he's a Hall of Fame person. Those qualities immediately are felt in a locker room.

"He's a stand-up human being. He says the right things. He's a family man; a great leader in the locker room. So if you send him into a veteran locker room that has younger players, it won't take very long before they say and do the right things. That makes a difference."

Brazilian big on baseball:

This is dated news, but anyone who follows Cristiano Felicio on social media would have noticed the Bulls backup center attended several Cubs playoff games.

Felicio himself admitted it was an odd fit - a Brazil native who'd spent just over a year in Chicago taking an interest in the local baseball team.

"We don't have baseball at all in Brazil," Felicio said. "How crazy the city gets when somebody's playing as good as they were, then they got a championship; it's like, I just wanted to experience that and see how it felt. I went to a couple games and it was great. It was unbelievable. I had a great time."

Felicio said some Bulls people were able to hook him up with tickets and the Cubs lost the games he attended.

Heat goes father friendly:

Even though the Heat has several players sidelined by injuries, the team let veteran forward Udonis Haslem skip Friday's game at Cleveland to watch his son Kedonis play in the Florida 2A football state championship game in Orlando. Haslem's school, St. Thomas Aquinas, won easily.

Haslem was back in Chicago for Saturday's game. The Heat have four players back in Miami recovering from injuries - Dion Waiters (groin), Justise Winslow (wrist), James Johnson (shoulder) and Luke Babbitt (hip). Chris Bosh is still on the roster, but is not expected to play this season. Miami had 10 players in uniform for Saturday's contest.

D-League movement:

The Bulls recalled Jerian Grant and Paul Zipser from the Windy City Bulls, but left guard R.J. Hunter on assignment and he played in Saturday's rod game at Greensboro.

On Friday at the Sears Centre, Grant hit the game-winning 17-foot jumper at the buzzer as Windy City beat the Canton Charge 96-94. Grant had 20 points and 9 assists, Hunter scored 16, while Zipser produced 13 points and 15 rebounds in his first D-League game.
