St. Edward rolls over Walther Christian

Kelvin Cortez-Harvey scored a game-high 29 points Tuesday night to lead the St. Edward boys basketball team to an 81-45 win over Walther Christian in Metro Suburban Conference action.

Will Gaston, Steve Poremba, AJ Franklin and Sidney Muhammad added 8 points each for the Green Wave (3-6, 1-0).

Harvest Christian 81, Mooseheart 45: In Northeastern Athletic Conference action, Brennan Woods had 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Lions to the win. JJ Flores added 15 points for Harvest while Jack Nohava had 12 and John Lindquist 10. Andre White Jr. pulled down 16 rebounds for the Lions.

West Chicago 59, Kaneland 43: Blake Feiza had a team-high 19 points for Kaneland in this nonconference loss.
