Rolling Meadows cops hope to fill Humvee with food for pantry

Rolling Meadows cops will be accepting donations of nonperishable food items for the Rolling Meadows Food Pantry Saturday at Jewel.

Officers hope to fill the department's Humvee full of food to donate to the pantry. Donations can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3000 Kirchoff Road.

The idea for the food drive came about from Officer Joe Pistorius, who noticed recently that shelves of the food pantry at 1051 Rohlwing Road were almost empty.
