Enjoy holiday favorites with 'Noel Duo' at the Garlands

On Sunday, Dec. 11, celebrate the holidays as Bravissimo Vocal Ensemble presents an uplifting concert of Christmas classics and seasonal favorites at the Garlands of Barrington.

At 3 p.m., local sopranos Susan Dennis of Bartlett and Kimberly Albrecht of Hawthorn Woods will perform "Noel Duo," duets and solos, accompanied by Palatine resident Alex Zintchenko at The Garlands's Performing Arts Center, 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington. Admission is free and open to the public, but reservations are requested.

Highlights of this one-hour show include pieces from Handel's "Messiah," Adolphe Adam's "Oh, Holy Night," and an old-fashioned sing-along to "Silent Night!"

Singing partners Dennis and Albrecht perform throughout the Chicago, and formerly produced and directed for Elgin Opera. Dennis is a regular concert soloist and show performer, and is on the vocal staff of Elmhurst and Harper colleges. Albrecht sings a wide range of musical styles, from sacred to jazz, and has performed in the Chicago area for more than 30 years.
