Addams students participate in powerful assembly

Stereotypes, the effects of bullying, and the importance of asking for help if needed for oneself or a friend were just a few of the topics tackled during an all-school assembly at Addams Junior High Nov. 21 led by performing troupe MWAH! - Messages Which Are Hopeful.

The ensemble, made up of children and teens, uses words, music and dance to empower young people "with the knowledge, courage and strength to deal with life's challenges," according to the MWAH website.

The Addams chorus performed during the assembly, and other students participated by playing roles in skits, answering questions, coming up front to be recognized as heroes for having good character, even dancing - along with Addams staff members - in the final number.
