Gingerbread House Contest Sponsored by the Glen Ellyn Historical Society

The 2016 Glen Ellyn Historical Society Gingerbread Contest is for all members of the Glen Ellyn Community. There are a variety of categories in this contest: Best Group Entry, Best Individual Entry by Age Group, Best Depiction of Glen Ellyn Building or Event, Best Depiction of Historical Building or Event, Best House for Dogs (or other Companion Animals), Best House for Birds (or Wild Animals).

The entry fee is $10. The entry form can be picked up at Stacy's Corners Store every Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All entry forms must be returned by Thursday, Dec. 8 by 5:00 PM to reserve a place. All materials (except bases) must be edible, Call 630-469-1867 for more information, check the website at www.glenellynhistory.org or email director@gehs.org. We hope all students, teachers, athletic teams, girl and boy scouts will all be creative and enter the contest. On Saturday, December 10 all gingerbread creations will be on display at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main Street and judging will take place.
