2016 Arlington Heights Food Drive a Great Success

Taking advantage of the last remnants of unseasonably warm weather, the attorneys and staff of Lavelle Law collected and loaded a truck full of food donations for the Wheeling Township Food Pantry on November 17th.

In addition to the donations from Arlington Heights residents and businesses that were collected over the last five weeks, Lavelle Law Charities also made a $1,000 cash donation to the pantry. Craig Wleklinski, food pantry coordinator for Wheeling Township was on hand to meet the volunteers and accept the check.

Food Drive Coordinator Jackie Lindert expressed thanks to the many families that made donations again this year. "We are appreciative of the many contributions from all across our community," said Lindert. "We would also like to thank the 15 locations who allowed us to place a collection box in their store, office or business. We are pleased to do our part to confront the issue of hunger in our community"

The Wheeling Township Food Pantry serves several hundred families per month. This is the seventh year that Lavelle Law has sponsored the Arlington Heights Food Drive.
