One critically injured in Carpentersville shooting

One person was in critical condition Monday after a weekend shooting in Carpentersville, police said.

The shooting occurred about 8:10 p.m. Saturday at Fox View Apartments on Oxford Drive, according to a news release from Carpentersville police. One victim, whose identity is not being released, was taken to an area hospital, officials said.

Deputy Chief Todd Shaver said Monday additional information about the shooting is not available.
