Herald, columnists still trashing Trump

Unfortunately, the Herald and it many columnists are continuing their rather vicious trashing of our president elect with no end in sight.

One of the worst is Michael Gerson whose vicious criticism of Trump, since his nomination and to date, in language, tone, and exaggeration tops the same things he criticizes Trump for. His statement that "Trump won in a way that damaged our democracy" is despicable and evidences not only a lack of a knowledge of political history but an underlying sickening hatred of Mr. Trump.

Another of your columnists, Georgie Geyer, had to go to the "Altiplano"of Bolivia to come to the realization that all people need dignity - even those in the rust belt of our great Midwestern states. She implies that somehow "we" didn't get it, but it certainly was not the print journalists fault - they "analyzed both Trump and Clinton deeply, fairly and comprehensively" - a statement that is patently false as evidenced by numerous studies and statistics on the subject.

Geyer goes on to state that "it was cable TV that gave us Trump" plus months of free airtime. Like most of her fellow journalists that appear in the Herald (Gerson, Parker, the Roberts and others) Geyer seems conflicted and can't seem to come to grips with the truth of the election - reverting to making excuses, blaming everybody and everything and most of all not giving Trump the credit for understanding and acting on his instinct and understanding of the need that the nonelite in this great country have for the need of dignity.
