Take your game inside at the Schaumburg Golf Club

The Schaumburg Park District's Schaumburg Golf Club, 401 N. Roselle Road, recently opened a new Golf Learning Center featuring three state-of-the-art aboutGolf simulator bays.

Located in the club's lower level, simulators are available for rounds of golf, practice, lessons and club fittings. Food and beverage service are available from Chandler's Chophouse.

The simulators are powered by 3Trak©, aboutGolf's three-dimensional, high-speed camera and tracking system. The system quickly analyzes ball and club data to replicate the shot in the simulator.

"With advances in technology, simulators are better than ever and allow a realistic experience while indoors," said Jon Parsons, operations manager at the club. "The simulator gives an accurate rendering of your shot, regardless of speed, loft or direction."

A cornerstone feature is the ability to play a round of golf on more than 40 world-class courses, including Pebble Beach and TPC Sawgrass. Intricate detail and accuracy make for a realistic playing experience, with three-dimensional terrain, trees and foliage impacting the game. Each simulator accommodates up to four golfers at a time.

For those taking lessons - swing analysis tools - including multi-angle video recording and a weight measurement system, are a great amenity.

"Recordings can be played back immediately in real time or slow motion," Parsons said. "This is a great way to give students immediate feedback on improving their swing."

With 18 driving range options, each simulator may be used for practice achieving further swing refinement.

For those looking for new equipment, the Golf Learning Center also offers Titleist and Callaway golf clubs fittings.

Simulators are open 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday. Cost is $35 per hour for up to four golfers per bay. Club fittings are $65 per club category. Reservations are recommended and may be made up to one week in advance.
