Long Grove to launch free carriage rides Friday

The Historic Downtown Long Grove Business Association is offering families, friends and lovebirds of all ages horse-drawn carriage rides from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25. The free 30-minute rides will continue every Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. through Dec. 18. The downtown Victorian buildings are trimmed in lights; the covered bridge and cobblestone walkways are lined with luminaria. The holidays also will feature costumed carolers, a Christmas tree parade and an appearance by Mr. and Mrs. Claus. For information, visit www.longgrove.org.
