Hoffman Estates holiday tree lighting Saturday

Hoffman Estates officials will light the holiday tree at 5 p.m. on Saturday in front of village hall.

The celebration will include entertainment from "The Notables" and dancers from HOTT Productions. Also, the village said that a special visitor will pop in for a visit with the children.

Light refreshments will be served at the event. The village is encouraging residents bring along canned goods or personal toiletry items to donate at village hall, which will be distributed to area food pantries.
