Naperville park police collecting toys for kids

Naperville Park District police officers are collecting new, unwrapped toys for the 2016 DuPage County Toys for Tots program, sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.

Toys will be collected through Friday, Dec. 16, at a variety of locations.

"We are proud to partner with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to help brighten the holidays for children in need," Chief Carl Schnibben said.

Collection sites are:

• Park district administration building, 320 W. Jackson Ave. Hours: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Park district planning office, 425 W. Jackson Ave. Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave. Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Fort Hill Activity Center, 20 Fort Hill Drive. Hours: 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

95th Street Center, 2244 W. 95th St. Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Knoch Knolls Nature Center, 320 Knoch Knolls Road. Hours vary.

Santa House at the corner of Jackson Avenue and Webster Street on the Naperville Riverwalk Dec. 2-16.

Toys for Tots accepts only new, unwrapped toys. Please do not donate stuffed animals or toy weapons.
