Central Indiana woman calls 911, confesses to killing 2 kids
DARLINGTON, Ind. (AP) - A sheriff says a central Indiana woman killed her two young children before stabbing herself in the neck a day after her husband filed for divorce.
Montgomery County Sheriff Mark Casteel says 30-year-old Brandi Worley of Darlington confessed to the killings in a 911 call about 4:30 a.m. Thursday. He said she spoke without remorse in confessing to the killings. She's being treated for injuries to her neck at a hospital.
Casteel says a deputy found 7-year-old Tyler and 3-year-old Charlie Worley dead in one of their bedrooms. It wasn't immediately clear how they died. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
The sheriff said their father, Jason Worley, was asleep in the basement, unaware of what was happening in the home about 40 miles northwest of Indianapolis.
