No. 11 Utah tries to keep pace in the Pac-12 South race
Oregon (3-7, 1-6 Pac-12) at No. 11 Utah (8-2, 5-2, No. 12 CFP), 2 p.m. EST. (Pac-12 Network)
Line: Utah by 13ˆ½.
Series Record: Oregon leads 20-9.
WHAT'S AT STAKE
The Utes are chasing a Pac-12 championship and control their chances. Utah will win the South Division for the first time in school history with victories in its final two regular-season games against Oregon and Colorado. A two-loss Pac-12 champion still has a chance of playing in the College Football Playoffs. Oregon is just trying to close out an extremely disappointing season. Even with two victories to end the season, the Ducks would be a win shy of the six normally needed to be bowl eligible.
KEY MATCHUP
The Oregon defense has been one of the worst in the country. The run defense is ranked No. 120 in the nation while allowing 243.0 yards per game. That has to tighten up if the Ducks want to upset a Utah team that has averaged 262.25 rushing yards in four games since Joe Williams returned from retirement.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Oregon: RB Royce Freeman. The junior has rushed for 599 yards and eight touchdowns this season. Freeman is the second all-time rusher at Oregon with 3,800 career yards.
Utah: DE Hunter Dimick. The senior tied the Pac-12 record with five sacks in a game last week and is tied for No. 1 in the nation with 12 sacks. Dimick has 27 career sacks and his next will set the school's career record.
