Holidays on the Town coming to Palatine Friday
The Downtown Palatine Business Association will host the popular Holidays on the Town event Friday to officially kick off the holiday season.
Sixteen members will open their doors on the evening of Friday, Nov. 18, and provide product and service demonstrations, special giveaways and other offers - in addition to wine tastings and hors d'oeuvres at a number of locations.
Passports are required for entrance into the event. They are available at any of the participating locations for $5. The Passport also gives participants the opportunity to ride the Holiday Trolley, which will circle downtown during the event.
"This event continues to grow in popularity, and that allows us to highlight all of the special shops and storefronts in our downtown area," said John Ruetsche, co-president of the Downtown Palatine Business Association.
In order to win one of two special gift baskets, Passports need to be stamped at each location and turned in at the last location visited. Winners will be announced the Monday after the event on the group's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/downtownpalatine.
