Go 'Over the River and Through the Woods' on Nov. 25 nature walk
Too much holiday food? Tired of shopping? Here's a great alternative.
Come to LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve in St. Charles for "Over the River and Through the Woods," the popular, post-Thanksgiving guided walk from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25.
Walkers will watch for wildlife, learn about adaptations for winter, and maybe see a wild turkey or two. You won't go over the river, but you will walk over Ferson Creek via foot bridge, and hike through the woods.
All ages are welcome. Bring the whole family.
Advance registration is required for this free program. Call (630) 444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com to register.
