The best show of the fall season? The Cubs
It was the best show of the fall TV season, a seven-part roller coaster with shocking twists, heartbreaking loss and, ultimately, outrageous triumph.
I'm talking, of course, about the World Series.
Cubs fans can relive the drama of their team's historic victory on Dec. 13 with a Blu-ray or DVD set of the entire 2016 World Series. Remember the snake man?
Shout Factory also is bringing back a creepy cable gem from the '80s with a new digital transfer. “Dreamscape,” which you may remember as the movie with the scary snake dude that ran on HBO when you were a kid, comes to Blu-ray on Dec. 13.
Dennis Quaid leads a cast that includes Max Von Sydow, Kate Capshaw, Christopher Plummer and Eddie Albert in a thriller that might be best described as “The Dead Zone” meets Freddy Krueger. (In fact, co-writer Chuck Russell would later direct “A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors”.) Quaid is among the interviewees in the four new Blu-ray special features.
