Man hurt in crash in Round Lake Park

One person suffered minor injuries after a crash on Indian Trail and Hainesville Road in Round Lake Park Saturday afternoon, police said.

The man was taken to the hospital as a precaution, Police Chief George Filenko said.

One vehicle was attempting to make a turn off Indian Trail north onto Hainesville between southbound cars stopped because of construction traffic about 4 p.m. Saturday.

To avoid the vehicle, a second driver traveling north on Hainesville swerved into a ditch.

That driver accelerated to try to get the vehicle out of the ditch, but lost control of the car and struck a third vehicle, Filenko said.

Round Lake Park police continue to investigate the crash and expect to issue citations.
