Hoffman Estates Friendship Tree-Lighting Ceremony set for Nov. 19

The Village of Hoffman Estates' annual Friendship Tree-Lighting Ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, in front of the main entrance of the village hall, 1900 Hassell Road.

The free family-friendly event fills up quickly, so visitors are encouraged to arrive early for a great spot to watch the fireworks display. This year's entertainment will include The Noteables, a local singing group, and dancers from HOTT Productions, a local nonprofit theater troupe. In addition, a special visitor will pop in for a visit with the children. Light refreshments also will be served.

Donations of canned goods or personal toiletry items are appreciated to replenish area food pantries. Drop-offs can be made in the village hall lobby throughout the year. For more information, call (847) 781-2606.
