Authorities identify man killed in Glen Ellyn fire
The DuPage County coroner's office has identified the man killed in a fire that broke out last month in his home near Glen Ellyn.
Firefighters found James Jezierski, 69, with no vital signs after the Oct. 24 blaze in the one-story house on the 22W500 block of Tamarack Drive.
The cause of both the fire and Jezierski's death are still under investigation, the coroner's office said this week.
Authorities said there was no indication of suspicious circumstances in his death.
A cat also perished in the blaze in the home in the Valley View neighborhood east of Park Boulevard.
