Cubs are champs and that's all that matters

Went to bed at 1:35 a.m. Was drinking champagne at 12:45 a.m. Was pacing room last hour of game. Blew data package on phone into universe. Have no clean Cubs clothing including Cubbie socks which were worn since Tuesday. Why do Cubs always take you emotionally to the precipice?

Well, none of that matters. Neither does any goat, black cat, curse, lovable losers nonsense. All gone. The longest drought in history of sports is over.

Cubs are World Series Champions 2016.

So, my family and friends, for all those living plus those eternal souls who have passed, enjoy this flash of baseball greatness.

It's not just historical; it's magical and epic. It's everlasting faith, it's glass half full.

For all the grandparents, including my Grandma Bea, great grandparents, war vets, Harry Caray, Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, Ron Santo. The wait is over.

Patience was tested. But, the end game is here, and now etched forever in history. It's a moment in time that I will never forget.

This bears repeating: Chicago Cubs are World Series Champions after 108 years.
